And you would love to work on your t2t docs, and convert them, while waiting on the line or on the train on your way back home. Now you can ! Here you find txt2tags ready to be installed in any embedded system that uses ipk packages. Because txt2tags is a [Python http://python.org/] script it should run on any Linux handheld, no matter what architecture, as long as Python itself is available and the distribution uses the [Itsy Package Management System http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/iPKG]. The packages distributed here should work with the [Sharp Zaurus ROM http://www.sharpusa.com/zaurus/], [OpenZaurus http://www.openzaurus.org], the [Familiar Distribution for IPaqs http://familiar.handhelds.org/] and others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ = Instructions = - If you haven't done so, get Python on your PDA. : Python for the Zaurus I'm using a package from http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/zaurus/index.php but Riverbank is not supporting the Python port for the Zaurus anymore. But I'll keep a copy [here src/] for download, if you want. I'll probably move to [Python for arm-linux from Vanille.De http://www.vanille.de/projects/python.spy] as it looks more complete and up to date. There is also a package at http://www.awaretek.com/pythonforzaurus.html : Zope for the Zaurus Or you could get really fancy and get Zope for your Zaurus( Yes !! You can run Zope on the Zaurus !) that includes a Python distribution which is said to be more complete than others. http://www3.telus.net/stauft/zaurus/z2.html : Python for the Familiar Distribution Search for the packages at http://ipkgfind.handhelds.org/ - For Python distributions for other plataforms(Palm, Psion, Windows CE/Pocket PC, etc) visit : http://www.python.org/download/download_other.html - Download the ipk file [here src/] - At the moment you can only use txt2tags on the command line. - For instructions on how to use txt2tags visit : http://txt2tags.sf.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------ = Screenshot = [img/zaurust2t.bmp] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ = Changelog = - ``v2.3 Jun/2005``: Finally added version 2.3. - ``v2.2 Dec/2004``: Txt2tags new version added.
